Aqua Natura in Benidorm is a large water park connected to the Benidorm Zoo.
If you enjoy spending time in water parks and are planning your holidays on the Costa Blanca in Spain, you should definitely add Aqua Natura in Benidorm to your travel list. In the article below, I’ll tell you about the park, what it offers, and whether it’s worth spending a fair amount of money on entry tickets. You’ll also find useful information to help you plan your visit, along with plenty of interesting facts.
Aqua Natura in Benidorm – practical information about the water park

- I recommend buying tickets online – you’ll often pay less, avoid queues at the ticket office, and get in without waiting.

Aqua Natura in Benidorm is located next to Terra Natura Zoo and sits just off the AP-7 motorway at: Avda. Alcalde Eduardo Zaplana, cruce con CV-70, 03502 Benidorm, Alicante. One big advantage is the large car park right in front of the park, so you don’t need to worry about where to leave your car. It is paid parking, but €7 for the entire day is quite reasonable. You can also reach Aqua Natura by bus line 42 – a good option, especially in summer when the roads get congested. If you’re staying in Denia or Alicante, remember there are train connections from both cities.
Inside Aqua Natura, you’ll find numerous bars, restaurants, and smaller snack stands offering sweets, light bites, and of course coffee. There are also picnic areas, so it’s worth bringing your snacks if you want to save a bit of money (food prices can be quite high, especially in peak season).
If you’re willing to spend more, you can rent a VIP area at Aqua Natura. This provides you with access to a modern, quieter part of the park designed as a relaxing oasis away from the busy main areas. It’s not cheap, though. During high season (mid-June to mid-September), the VIP area costs €150, and €120 outside this period. The price includes a sun lounger, a Balinese bed, a private locker, a pool mattress in the VIP area, and a selected drink from a nearby bar.
PS: The VIP area price does not include the park entry ticket.
Aqua Natura in Benidorm – attractions for children

Aqua Natura is a dream destination for families with children. Kids have plenty of space to explore and play, while parents can enjoy some well-earned rest. From my experience, the most popular spot in the park is Ohana Splash – a newer installation that combines an adventure zone with a water playground. There are over 30 different features, most of them interactive: fountains, waterfalls, slides, and all sorts of water effects. It’s not only fun but also educational, helping children understand basic physical principles while developing social skills. Where else can kids take part in activities and adventures with friends from all over the world, speaking different languages?
Another favourite area is Adventure Island, designed for children up to 12 years old (or slightly older). It includes playgrounds, shallow pools, small slides, ramps that periodically pour water, water curtains, and many other fun attractions. I have to admit, looking at this area made me think how great it would be to be a child again – pure fun without the worries of adult life. There are some restrictions, though – for example, children must not be taller than 105 cm.
Next is To Nero Kalo – a water castle. Interactive structures and attractions are set in a large pool with a depth of just over 20 cm, making it very safe even for the youngest visitors. There are bridges, hiding spots, and interactive games. Kids can become pirates conquering a tropical island or defenders protecting it. They can go treasure hunting or search for hidden sea creature figures.
And that’s not all. Aqua Natura also features a slide called Cyclone Eye – a 20-metre-long attraction offering plenty of adrenaline and fun for children who enjoy a bit of excitement. On the calmer side, there’s the Aqua Natura Mermaid School, where children can learn to swim using a monofin, as well as try synchronised and artistic swimming under the guidance of experienced instructors. They can even dress up as sea creatures. It’s safe to say no child will be bored here.
Aqua Natura in Benidorm – attractions for adults

Of course, Aqua Natura is not just for children. Adults will find plenty of excitement too. There are large slides such as Black Hole – a tube 1.5 metres in diameter and 45 metres long, running through the park and ending in a pool. It’s the fastest slide in Aqua Natura. Another one is Niagara, a fast drop slide measuring 47 metres in length. There is a weight limit here – you won’t be allowed in if you weigh more than 85 kg.
Other attractions include Kamikaze for the bravest visitors and The Crest, a slide resembling a roller coaster. Around the park, you’ll also find bars and snack points. It’s a great place, especially when it’s not too crowded, and you can enjoy the rides without long waits. The magic fades a bit when you have to queue for half an hour before each ride – but that’s mostly the case everywhere.
Aqua Natura in Benidorm – attractions for the whole family

So, we’ve covered areas for children and adults – but what if you want to have fun together as a family? Aqua Natura has that covered too. Family-friendly attractions include Rio Aventura – a slide over 120 metres long and 12 metres high, where you ride on inflatable rings (single or double). Another option is the Zigzag Giant – a more than 100-metre-long slide full of twists and turns, offering fantastic fun.
There’s also a multi-lane racing slide where you can compete with others, as well as the Water Snake – a 150-metre-long slide that runs across the park and even extends into the neighbouring Terra Natura zoo area.
Aqua Natura in Benidorm – educational shows

Aqua Natura is not just a water playground – it’s also a place where you can take part in educational shows featuring beautiful sea lions. These experiences teach respect for marine life and highlight the important role humans play in protecting nature. Every day, tonnes of plastic waste end up in the oceans, and it’s up to us to make a difference. Today’s children will inherit a planet that needs care and restoration, which is why learning through play is so valuable for their future.
The park also offers activities for people with disabilities. Through interaction with animals, participants can develop empathy, build confidence, and strengthen their sense of responsibility. Interestingly, animals often show remarkable sensitivity when working with people, responding emotionally in ways similar to humans.
Aqua Natura in Benidorm – VIP area

If money isn’t a concern, you might consider booking the VIP area during your visit. It offers a separate pool and a quiet space for sunbathing and relaxation, designed to minimise noise from the rest of the park. It’s not a cheap option – in peak season, you’ll pay €150 plus the park ticket. Personally, I’d probably look for a quiet beach along the Costa Blanca and spend the saved money on a nice meal with the family – but everyone looks for something different.
